What People's Say About Place

We stopped by on a week night about 90 minutes until close. We found the restaurant was not busy and really, really quiet. They could really use some music in the dining area. We could hear the kitchen had some music but was a bit awkward for us. On top of the quietness we found the floors were sticky and loud. I don't think it's because they're dirty, but maybe how they're mopped. There was one other person in their eating and it was just super awkward eating in a quiet restaurant and then hearing someone walk across the place to get a refill. They need to do something about the floor. The food was good though! We appreciate the cleanliness. There's not a bunch of food laying around the line like some other burrito shops. We both had vegetable burritos. I think next time I'll have a taco salad and my wife wants to have sopes. The burrito was large, they have a 12 and 14 inch tortilla, both are big. I was hungry and went for the 14 and it was more than I could eat. We don't eat animal products and didn't ask about ingredients. There was a bit of a language barrier although one worker spoke English pretty well. Unfortunately, my Spanish is very basic and of no help! We went with the safe bets (white rice, black beans). Vegans should be able to eat here without much trouble. Chips and salsa were good. The chips were loud and crunchy! You could really hear them crunch in the quiet restaurant. The salsa container had room for more and we both could have used a little more as we ran. Salsa flavor was good. Because we were unsure about ingredients we both went for white rice. I was disappointed it was just plain white rice and lacked seasoning and flavor. A cilantro lime rice would have been better. We got black beans because we were unsure about the refried beans ingredients. I really liked their vegetable mix of squash, zucchini, and something else. I didn't get the grilled onion because it was with mushroom and I'm not a fan of them. My wife got both the grilled veggie choices. However, we felt they lacked seasoning. I don't know all what she got but I did get pico and found it to be very spicy. I could see diced jalapeño and wow was it hot! I've eaten at a lot of burrito shops and none had pico with that amount of heat. Mt wife would like to add that the soda is very good here. Lots of carbonation and fizz. She said it was McDonald's level of bubbles. Soda was Pepsi and sadly not Coke. I got Orange Crush and it was good too. I think we'll be back. Hopefully the floor is better. It'll be hard to pass up Moe's though. They have no mushroom and really good chips and salsa too. Looking forward to trying something different and happy to support a local business. Thank you

Great service and great food! We appreciated the great customer service and willingness to meet patrons' needs!

Yes, it has great reviews, that is why we came here. Yet I was still shocked at how great the food tasted. Everything is made with just the right amount of seasoning. The ingredients are all fresh, the service was friendly, and the prices reasonable. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting. If you are looking for good vegetarian/vegan options you will not be disappointed.

I like the set up of the restaurant. It's like subway, but better. They have dine in or carry out, and they deliver through door dash. I'm not from Terra Haute, but I will definitely eat here again.

Delicious and fast, even if you have them cook some shrimp to add to your meal. I love the spices they use. It doesn't taste just like so many of the other restaurants in the area. Que Buenos has a flavor all its own.

Great place. Friendly, clean, a great deal for the quality of food. I am definitely coming back.

Always prompt and friendly service, great burritos and the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. I always look forward to coming here when I’m in Terre Haute. The best Mexican food by far.
